Science & Technology
At ICS we believe that effective teaching and learning of science involves seeing and using real objects and materials. If students gain just theoretical knowledge in classrooms, learning is less effective. Students who observe the process and understand the relationship between action and reaction are more able to apply their knowledge to new situations. The science and technology facilities include the science labs, computer suites, and, the food and nutrition class.
We have five, fully-equipped science labs that are used by students for science lessons. All students from Year 7 to Year 11 take science lessons that cover biology, chemistry and physics. In Years 12 and 13, students continue their Science journey if they opt to take an A-Level science subject course.
Experiments are safely conducted by all ages, with older students expected to build on previous experience and proficiently handle more complex equipment. Each year, we invest in the science labs to ensure that students are utlising the highest quality equipment to carry out more advanced experiments and capitalising on the learning opportunities they offer.
Food & Nutrition
Students have access to a fully equipped industrial kitchen if they opt to take the optional Secondary course, Food and Nutrition. This course introduces both the theoretical and practical aspects of buying and preparing food.
ICS, Where every child can thrive..!
Three fully equipped ICT Suites with over 25 computers in each. In addition, there are laptop trolleys for specific stages that cater to over 40 students. ICS has one of the highest speed internet connections in the country. Students can bring their own devices in secondary (BYOD Service), while primary students can bring their own tablets.
